Exclusive hydrangea
There are many types of hydrangea. Some are particularly special because of their eye-catching characteristics and colours. We call these the pearls amongst the hydrangeas. We went in search of a number of pearls, and ended up at two hydrangea growers. The Mastergrowers grow unique Masterpieces. And Sjaak van Schie sells exclusive hydrangeas under the name Hy-pe. Be amazed by these fabulous hydrangeas.
Masterpieces
Hydrangea growers The Mastergrowers travel around the globe to get inspiration and cross the best varieties and shapes to develop into their own concepts. They are therefore most proud of their own Masterpieces. These are all hydrangeas that speak to the imagination. You can find more information about some of these Masterpieces below.

Pure
The Mastergrowers focus on breeding varieties that are so strong that they do not require any support. This is sustainable and gives a natural look. They are inherently sturdy enough to remain upright. Pure in every detail, and a delight for anyone who loves the power of simplicity. A number of variants have been launched on the market under the Masterpieces ‘PURE’ line.
Magical
Magical is a long-flowering hydrangea that changes colour as a result of daylight and can easily bloom for six months. This strong Masterpiece becomes more beautiful every week. The clear pink or blue tones gradually develop a romantic, autumnal glow in dark red or dark blue, for example. Over a flowering season of 150 days the flowers can therefore show three to four colours. Ever-changing nature at its most enchanting.

Bi-colour
This classic beauty is twice as stunning thanks to its fabulous colour combinations. The highly contrasting coloured edges on the petals lend the finishing touch to this Masterpiece.
Exclusive range: Hy-pe Unique
Hy-pe is the hydrangea at its most stunning. The hydrangea has been a popular indoor and outdoor plant for years. Hydrangea grower Sjaak van Schie BV offers hydrangeas in unusual shapes and colours under the name Hy-pe. The name Hy-pe refers to Hydrangea and the plants’ Portuguese origin. ‘Pe’ means ‘at the foot of’ in Portuguese, a reference to the location of the company’s nursery in Portugal.
One great product from the Hy-pe range is the Avantgarde. A large flower on a stem gives the Hy-pe Avantgarde a distinctive appearance. It’s a variety that can bring colour to the home, garden and patio. And what colour! First white, then pink/blue in order to progress to red at the end of the flowering period.
Sjaak van Schie BV is constantly looking for distinctive varieties. They regularly discover a new variety that is worthy of the name Hy-pe.
