The zantedeschia has an extensive colour palette that includes white, yellow, red, pink, orange, purple, black and green. What is most striking about this flower is its stylised calyx. This is actually a petal that grows solemnly from the stem. The zantedeschia has several symbolic meanings but mostly stands for purity, sympathy and beauty. Originally, the zantedeschia comes from an area stretching from South Africa to Malawi. Here it grows in swamps.
